Who We Are:
African American men that have primary physical custody of a daughter
Our Mission:
1) To strengthen the moral and spiritual fiber of the young black woman that is parented only (or primarily) by
her father.
2) To raise and keep our girls in an environment where they have the highest likelihood of being:
o successful
o happy
o healthy
o safe
Our Approach:
To recognize and engage in the spiritual battle that we find ourselves in
To demonstrate Christ's victory to the world by who we are
Our Participants:
1) Father's Currently Raising Girls Alone
2 ) Father's That in the Past Have Raised Their Daughter(s) Alone
3 ) Adult Women that at some point in their lives were raised by their father only
Our Philosophy:
The father must live to be what he wants his daughter (excluding obvious physical differences) to become. To do
this, the father will live to obtain, display, and/or retain the following as a part of him:
- Character
- Commitment
- Discipline
- Integrity
- Patience
- Perseverance
- Sacrifice
- Self-restriant
- An Undying Desire to Please God
- Humility
Define --> Inculcate --> Demonstrate
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as
a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
